Please don't anyone tell me how wrong and misguided what I'm about to say is. And as bad as it sound for me to say it is strangely liberating. I know there is no way that the majority of you will ever in any way agree with this, but it is time I faced something that I have secretly known to be true my whole life.

I SUCK

No seriously I REALY REALLY SUCK

Why do you suck, why do you think you suck? What is it you feel you suck at?

Everybody sucks in one way or another. I suck big time at certain things and I am suffering mightily because of it. But, in other ways, I'm pretty damn cool. Maybe you are too.

It's more liberating when you open up to someone about why you feel that this reality means that you suck.

I have no idea why you think that this means you suck. (That doesn't really matter.) But, opening up to a 3rd party could help you put things into perspective, so you don't hold onto the guilt and shame you find yourself carrying.

Best wishes!

If there was an "I Suck Club" most of us would fit in at one time or another. You'll have better days, you'll see. Peace - Dennis

This is interesting. I can't say I've had the exact same experience, but confronting my inadequacies as real and not just the product of a depressed imagination also vaguely "comforts" me.

I'm guessing this is a known psychological phenomenon, and I think it's worthy of further investigation.

I have had this revelation several times just to wake up and discover that I had been dishonest with myself. Or rather, that depression was being dishonest with me. An interesting sense of disillusionment. There is a sense, of "Yes, I was right! I have nothing to prove! I am a loser!" just to do something right and have my world view shatter. Hmmm.

Most of us don't place as big time suckers. I know I haven't got it, and I'm willing to bet that you don't either, but you do have depression. I would be carefull about believing Mr. D, and would recommend finding other constants in your world
Thanks for this!

Mr D.'s simple sentence means we all suck at something sometimes not at everything all the time. Peace - Dennis
