Writing this on behalf of a friend who is all smiley o.O
Schools being a pain with her in terms of deciding to tell her to tell her doctor or tell his parents. The problem is that she tens to dissasociate, but without realising. The difference being that normally nothing much actually goes through her head and its the equivelant of talking to a brick wall. This sometimes goes on for minutes, sometimes hours. She dosn't seem to have much of an idea as to why. The reason it normally happens is due to physcal contact that she isnt comfortable with, or unexpected. However, most of the time she has no idea. It most likely started due to a pressurising guy who pushed it a little bit too far in terms of sexual contact. Any ideas as to why this might be happening would be appreciated ![]() |

The Dissociative Disorders Forum is here: http://forums.psychcentral.com/forumdisplay.php?f=30 There also a number of stickies at the top of the forum page with useful information.
My thought is your friend would benefit from seeing a psychiatrist for an evaluation. |
