Hello, georgiegeorge. So, you are a nursing student. You care about people. Want to help them. A good place to start would be to help yourself, eh? What do you think? What should you do to help yourself?

![]() actually what the byzantine said sort of snapped me out of the feeling sorry for myself mind set... when im with people i remind and 'make myself' keep eye contact, stay focussed on them, smile, move my eyes between their 2 eyes as though searching for meaning, lean forward, use responsive questioning and respond positively to questions (ppl like positive people) open my body language... it takes effort tho and it feels superficial like im not actually feeling them... but they say fake it to make it right? |

the thyroid test may highlight hypothyroidism - some people experiencing hypothyroidism have: psychosis, depression, anxiety, a bipolar diagnosis and there are many other mental cognitive symptoms.

George, you are progressing well on your path to a recovery! Good on ya! BTW, Byzentine always has the wisdom, so keep an eye out for his posts!!!
![]() Hyperthyroidism is very dangerous to those of us who already suffer mental illnesses. So glad you got that checked out. Now off to the therapist, right?

Glad to hear it, Georgie! At least that's one thing you can now rule out. How's the depression? Mine is getting worse, so I know what you mean about the "up and down".
