The darknest days are upon me in a sea of smiles and suits, I feel myself drowning.

Child in one hand, wife in the other and another child on the way.
The clock keeps ticking and whispers, it is only a matter of time…

The battle of darkness within rages on. I hope for the dawn to emerge from this blackest of nights. I reach for anything but know that I am incurable. But I still have hope for the future…

======================
Info on the painting I created.
This painting (and airbrush) was also done during my teenage years. It depicts a person (myself) in a corner praying to God to have the strength to commit suicide. The prayer is so dark and sad the tears between the persons fingers have turned to blood. The person is in the corner since it shows the deep feeling of being trapped. The person is green from the yellow cross and blue stain glass window cast an eerie green light in the room. This green also form the color complement of red, which illuminates the blood between the figures fingers.
Why make a painting like this? Well actually this painting was already created in my minds-eye and it was just a matter of painting it and putting it out there. If I had flowers and deep happiness within I would be happy to have poured this out onto a canvas.

I am glad that you still have some hope in what seems to be a very despairing time for you. That shows that you are indeed stronger than you realize. I do wish you much more strength to get through these dark times.

Love the painting. I drew one similar to yours but without the cross awhile back. I think many of us are in that room, we just dont know we are not alone. Thanks for sharing!

A lovely and haunting work of art. Are you still painting? Creative outlets such as painting are great for mitigating the intensity of depression and the likes. Best of luck to your recovery.
