OK...

Been having random dreams but have experinced this since I have been on meds. Anyways, I dreamt as such. The other night I dreamt about being sectioned under the mental health act. That really scared me.

I just don't know why I am dreaming about the latter especially. I am a bit scared though. This is hindering me sleeping to an extent as I am scared to sleep so will stay up as late as possible.

Hello, Miss Laura. Train your mind to think of a pleasant experience and keep the focus off the unwanted.

Good luck.

Hi, Miss Laura!

Are all your dreams scary? Is this one about being sectioned a recurring dream? Have you spoken about the disturbing dreams (in general or specifically) with the prescribing doctor?

Wishing you a return to refreshing sleep!

Hey Rohag,

Sometimes my dreams are especially ones to do with my funeral etc. I haven't been like that in a wee while but this dream about being sectioned scared me. I was reading up on sucidal thoughts etc last night. I was home alone and thought I would look them up. Read about them, I don't feel suicidal at all which is a change as I felt suicidal a few weeks ago.

No not spoken to anyone about my section dream. I have spoken about my funeral dreams though and my GP put my meds up. But I am on different meds now. Haven't seen my counsellor in 2 weeks due to only havign 2 more sessions with her before they end. I am pretty scared about flying solo as I don't think I am ready just yet. But my counsellor is through work and I only get a set amount of sessions

Is there any way to get another counselor?

I think you should tell your GP about the dreams again, so that he/she can adjust the meds if needed. Please make sure to tell them about the suicidal thoughts too - I know they're not feelings but it's still important.

My GP knows about the suicidal thoughts hence new meds and also she signed me off from work for 1 month. I am due to go back next week but I don't know if she will say yes to that.

No way in getting another counsellor as the waiting list for a psychologist is 1 year and there is no FREE counselling services. I have actually no money so I can not afford to pay to see a counsellor etc.

I speak to you guys and also The Samaritians too!! So I guess you guys are my counsellors as are The Samaritians
