See theres this guy that trys to beat me up all day but im stronger and bigger than him,
But im not a woose i wont tell on anybody! but everytime he hits me i wanna just swing and squish his brains out!
but unfortionatley i cant do that because i would get expelled and then not be able to do what ive always wanted to do football!!!!!!!!!!!! so i dont wanna hit back but i dont know what to do dang that boy!

Ugh. That sucks. I'm not going to try to tell you to talk to him about it, because that won't help - I know that already. Reminds me of a South Park episode, where Satan has a really nice guy for a boyfriend ("Chris"), and his old boyfriend, Saddam Hussein, is really jealous of Chris and is always trying to kill him (since they are in Hell, nobody ever really dies because they are already dead). One day, Chris asks Saddam if they could go for a walk in the park, and while they are walking, the Chris said "Saddam, why do you hate me so much?". And Saddam says "because people like you want to go for walks in the park and talk to the people who hate them about why they hate you so much". Then Saddam kills Chris, again.

I agree that narc'ing on him will also make it worse if someone, like a teacher, talks to the guy for you. That'll only piss the guy off even more. But, I do think you should cover your butt and talk to a teacher or the principal or your counselor anyway, and make sure that they know what is going on. Because, if you ever need to defend yourself (like, if this guy brings a weapon into school, or if he gets his friends to gang up), then you'll have a lot of explaining to do to get yourself out of trouble for being in a fight. Also, your counselor or teachers can keep an extra eye out for you, so if they catch the kid red-handed, then it's not a matter of you being a woos or not... the kid will get in trouble and it'll be his own darn fault.

No matter what your age is, this is assault and battery. It is very illegal.

I was beat up very often as a kid, for years it was a nearly weekly event. My parents did nothing for fear of retaliation. They were more fearful that someone might slash their tires than the damage that was being done to me. This is something I can't quite ever forgive and forget. My mother's advice was "kill em with kindness." What BS.

When one of my sons had a bully targeting him, and finally assaulting him, I filed charges with the police. They and the school took it very seriously. The attacker was arrested and had to be bailed out. There was a hearing and punishment with community service. There was never any kind of retaliation. My son was left alone by this bully and no other bully dared to mess with him.

I have no tolerance for abuse and will resist it fiercely. I don't think you should put up with it. There is no shame in using the legal means you have for putting an end to it.

What I said was stupid - don't listen to that. He's right - you always should stand up for yourself. Even if not for yourself, just think - once you guys graduate, this guy will pick on someone else -- and his behavior could devolve into something much more dangerous than it already is. And darn it -- don't let yourself be known as someone who puts up with nonsense like that!!! Listen to KV!

But if you're not willing to stand up for yourself, then I would go with what I said as a Plan B. But KV's idea should be Plan A.

I think our system is messed up. You can't stand up for yourself against a bully even though you're capable of taking care of yourself because if you did, you would get in trouble. I think that's wrong (I think that natural consequences would be the right approach to dealing with bullies, but society won't buy it), but I'm not sure there is anything we can do about it. Kvinneakt's suggestion is good - go to the police and tell them about the assault you are being subjected to by this guy. If you aren't allowed to defend yourself then the police have to defend you.

I know a lot about bullies and just wrote a paper on that subject for one of my classes. If you want to talk about it more just let me know.

I'm the same age as LMo, and I don't want to be a grown-up either. So there. LMo, when's your birthday? Mine is Aug. 10, 1969, but I've been 29 for a while now and plan to stick with it for some time yet to come.

When I was in school I got into a disagreement with a girl...I too didn't fight back... I wasn't to smart though because I was afraid of my dad and thought he would get upset with me if I was in a fight in school...I allowed her to hit me many times... ending up with a black eye... and later a knocked out front tooth...that is when I finally got mad enough to protect myself. I hit her once and knocked her out and I just waked away. I didn't get into any trouble with the school because I wasn't one of the kids that was always in the office for getting into fights...
I have always told my kids... don't start the fight but make sure you finish it... one of the things that happened with my nephew a kid tried to bully him and he just went up to the kid and told him come on... tell me when and where...kid got so scared he just backed off and never has been bothered again by the kid,

Hi Dias,

I wanted to respond to your post, although perhaps it would have been better had I not.

You see, while I don't like or condon violence, there is a time and place for everything. It's one thing to go looking for trouble (I've never understood people that did) for we have enough trouble in our lives without adding to it.

I've always been a big fan of the old west. For all of it's hardships - there is one thing I've always liked about it. While not everyone was armed, for the most part, if someone had trouble it was expected they would handle it. Therefore one didn't get in anothers face and get smart with them, or flip someone a finger, or show ill manners towards another (at least not like they do in this day and time) because if they did so, it would be more than likely they would be shot.

Now please don't get me wrong - I'm NOT telling you that you should ever shoot anyone. What I am saying, is that if this person is bothering you (this little peesqueak), then you need to do something about it. If you're not comfortable with turning him in - then kick his ***! Educate him - You can bet I would.
