Hello, I am new to these on line forums, but I have read a few and thought I would give it a try, I know I am depressed and I was diganosed as being manic depressed many years agod and I am now finding out that it is called bio polar and I am scared, and it is effecting my personal relationship and my life!!! my epidos have push my partner away from me. I made an appointment today to see a counslor so I know I have made the first step. I just am lost on how I can save my relationship, my partner knows I have a disorder and they have been there and I have done nothing but hurt them and I want to make it right, they say they need space how am I suppose to take that? I took it as being abandoned. I just hope this journey that I am on and about to take by seeing a doctor will help me first and help my relationship..

hi april and welcome to the forums.....and yes you have taken the first and most important step by seeking help.....sometimes our partners and people in our lives just don't understand....its not abandonment.its just not understanding.....when you get a better grip on what is going on with you with the help of a professiona, then maybe you and your partner can sit down and discuss this..keep us informed...you've come to a good place..people here care and understand.....
