I got up feeling good, looking forward to the day, then somebody said something hateful about me online, and it triggered me. I got angry, then some other people chimed in making fun of me about my reaction, and it threw me into a deep, deep depression.

When I get this way, I listen to sad, sad songs and cry, which is what I've been doing for hours.

And now I've ruined yet another social forum, because I can't possibly go back there now. I really liked it too.

Sometimes, I feel like I don't fit in anywhere. I wish I could go live in a cave.

((((((((Dear Amie))))))))

How awful for you! I don't get why people have to be hateful to each other. Some people deliberately go out to bait people and upset them; people like that really discourage proper communication and certainly don't help others to feel good about themselves.

One thing I wouldn't do is push myself further into a depression by listening to sad songs. You know you're supported here and that no one will attack you,

Sending you lots of hugs and support,

Rhiannon

Amie when you are sad perhaps you should listen to happy songs instead of sad songs. It may help to change your mood and make you (dare I say...) happy!

No more sad songs when you're depressed ok?
