no you are not alone. I have been told i am as cold as ice. Was there an event in your life where you cried and were told that you were weak or made to fell bad for crying? I had to go back to my childhood to figure out why i don't cry. My mother always said it was a sign of weakness. Growing up nobody on her side of the family ever cried not even at funerals. It wasn't until i was married a few years that i needed!!!! To cry it out and my husband said "you're a mulligan now (my married name) and mulligans cry" and he made a sign and put it on the fridge. So explore why and when it was that you had to stop cryinge

You're definitely not the only one - sometimes to urge or desire to cry is overwhelming and I feel like I want to sob but nothing comes out. It's like the feeling will occasionally bubble up but not quite break the surface.

I think paulswife1 has an interesting approach - any kind of "negative" emotion was always taken as a sign of loss of control in my family when I was growing up. Perhaps as a consequence it's very hard for me to give up control, let go and just feel.

I don't know if it helps but you are definitely not the only one

You are not alone. I get this often too, and it can be very frustrating. I hope you are feeling better soon.

If you take anti-depressants, the medication could be interfering.
