I don't know why I am around. All I am is a burden to those around me. I don't know how they put up with me. I have trouble putting up with myself! Why am I still here? I have been having thoughts of suicidal ideation lately. I've called a crisis a couple of time and that helped for a bit. I even felt like a burden to the crisis hotline. Like, they could be helping someone else instead of me.
I think I am broken.

The crisis line is there to help you. You are just as valuable and good as everyone else. Bipolar depression lies when it says you are no good or don't deserve help.

((Maxime)) - you're around because you're important just like anyone else. We all go through needy times in our life and that's okay - you deserve help. Have you tried meditation - if you browse the web you can find free meditation exercises. It's amazing how it quiets the mind. Take some slow deep breaths - you can get through this unsettling period. Here's a compassionate website for you to look at: I know you're not actively suicidal and it's good for that or for anyone who's feeling low. I hope you feel better soon.

Hi Maxime,
You are not a burden - you are a good person and an important one. The people around you know that, and so do we on this board. I hope you feel better soon ![]() |
