Each year I find I cannot cope when my therapist goes on her 10 day vacation, one which she so rightly deserves. I completely fall apart with crying jags that neither my husband nor few friends can help with. I even suffer from panic attacks. I have BPD and Aspergers. I am a stayn at home mom since I have a son with autism. Any advice?

Can you take a fresh notebook and write a letter to your T every day? You don't necessarily have to give it to T....but use it as a way of talking to her while she's away. Also (and I know this sounds bizarre) call her vmail a few times just to hear her voice on the message and hang up without leaving a message. If you think about it, really think about it, 10 days isn't all that long. You can get thru it, I know you can!

There are a lot of people that feel the same way you do when their therapist goes away.

You might find this forum helpful for sharing your feelings Psychotherapy
