I need a change , and I need it soon . I recently broke up with someone and now have been talking with another lady who seems so nice and calls me everyday to see how I am doing . She lives about an hour from where I live and I don't have a vehicle . We haven't even met each other in person yet , just pictures and webcam online. We really feel comfortable with talking to each other and she understands my illness and never called it quits when I told her about it up front.
Call me nuts , but I want to pack up and move closer to her but it would be hard to find an apartment that takes in dogs and I couldn't part with mine . Sorry that's just me. I love him too much and he's my responsibilty. I know I may be jumping too fast and she may not even like me when we meet in person , but she seems genuine. I'm just scared if I don't do something now , I may never get the opportunity to do this again . What do you think????

as long as you're ready to be in a relationship with this person because you want to and not because you're looking for someone to replace what you've lost in the last relationship.

I would take time for myself and then go into a new relationship, but that's just me and I'm sure that's a lie cause I am the kind of person who needs to be in a relationship all the time.

I get that you're lonely, and need a change, but I think it's way too soon to be thinking about moving. Give the relationship time to blossom. Take it slow.

Without any reference to a relationship (relationship advice is not my thing), and trying to view your whole situation as best I can, I absolutely agree you need a change.

And I agree you need change soon.

Of course, what shouldn't change is you+Jake.

Sit down and make a list of pro's and con's. Make an honest, searching, fearless evaluation of your feelings and circumstances. Take a couple day's, don't rush, most importantly, be honest with yourself. Good luck

I think if you move it has to be for the right reason and not solely just to be closer to your lady friend. You need to be prepared, if it doesn't work out you'll still be okay. TBO I think you really NEED to be independent from your dad. Can you afford to live on your own? There should be some places that accept dogs. It wouldn't be good to move in together at all - too soon.

So if you're doing this only for the lady friend, then I say no you shouldn't. But, if you're doing this because 'it's time' for you to be away from your dad(who's gives you a hard time) and the bonus of being closer to your lady friend and you can afford it - then I say start looking.

Is that area near facilities - shopping center, grocery stores, banks etc - then you could walk or take public transportation. Think it through carefully...just making sure you don't get disappointed if it doesn't work out with her. I feel you really do need your independence ((Naturefreak))
