i spoke to my doctor today about a meds review, and he kept on pushing for me to have the influenza jab, claiming it has been linked to helping depression sufferers, i asked him if there were any websites where i could confirm his claims, or in which medical journals they were printed in, he point blank refused to give me examples of either, saying this was an ongoing study with no definative answers, has anybody else suffering from depression been asked by there doctor to take the flu jab? if so what reason did they give you, and did you take it. i refused on the grounds that i dont want to be a "guinny pig" and walked out of the session. and as of yet i can find no studies either confirming or denying his claims so ask you doc about it next time you see them and find out what they have to say.
