I hate me and how I feel. I am so angry and let down and disgusted in others and the harm we can inflict on others by word or deed. And we call ourselves the human race and civilized. Yeah I'll believe that.
I can't say why I am so angry and upset because of a confidentiality agreement but I can tell you that I don't like how I feel and my disappointment in those I work with. (most of them, but not all).
I wish sometimes that I was not here to witness this blatant cruelty.
I am not above reproach and sometimes say or do things that may hurt others and for that I am truly sorry, I dont mean harm ever. I am human though and can make mistakes like others, but some people do it intentionally and that stinks.

Too true. It's maddening to be in a position where you can witness but be powerless to stop evil.

I think your disgust for what you have seen reflects credit upon you, Jazper.

With mixed pessimism and hope I press on with whatever kindness I can muster toward "repairing the world".

Jazper,
You are so right and thank goodness you took the time for your rant. This frog of little brain commends you for not retaliating to the cruelty you have seen even when the thought is so strong. A good rant I find is very helpful.

hi jasper, yes you are correct...the world is made of all kinds of ppl. the workplace is often an environment where you have a nuclear bunch of ppl, some healthy, some not. to avoid as much as you can i'd try limiting any social interaction with employees that you feel are toxic to you. easier said than done, but by focusing on your job-so glad u have one!-you'll be a good employee and hopefully stay out of unpleasant situations.
it's good you're getting said what's bothering you. i don't know why it helps but it does. it's sort of like reducing the heat on a whistling tea kettle!

The world is pretty messed up. Sometimes I blame the last generation-- but I know they'll blame the last generation and the generation before them and the one before them....

Basically, all we can do is help. It's a little cheesy, but every new generation has the opportunity to better the world.

Now, how many of us will do something?
Thanks for this!
