I hate Xmas, I really do. I used to love it, but when you're broke as a joke, it's just a burden. I do love to give gifts to people I love, don't get me wrong, it's just I have a daughter starting college next year, I'm only a temp worker, I can't even handle dealing with people at work, so my job prospects are limited. I don't even care if I don't get any gifts, it's just too much to ask for people who can't afford it.

I totally understand where you're coming from. I'm a single income woman, my husband has been unemployed and isn't receiving any more unemployment. I feel so bad giving baked goods every single year, but that's all I can afford. And you know, if you have friends and family that understand, just having you there for the holiday season is a gift enough.
![]() Things will look up. I'm confident they will.
