I have a wonderful husband, a fabulous son, am on the right meds, have been stable for months and all of a sudden for the last 6 days I have been depressed. There is no reason for it.
I have been sitting here contemplating the cause of this bout of depression and can't come up with the reasoning behind it which just causes me to be even more depressed.
How am I supposed to work on something if I don't know what it is????

Ah, depression. I wish I understood my own. Oh, I've lots of data and speculation, and am aware of some of the theories the experts bandy about, but, in the end, it remains mysterious.

I wonder, if I knew the reason or reasons, would I then be able to resolve the illness? Some knowledge isn't all that actionable.

As far as possible, observe and record this depressive episode. Perhaps, after it lifts, you and your caretakers can make some sense of what happened.

May it lift quickly.

Thanks. I will make notes. I have been writing in my journal and so far nothing has come up, but I will keep recording and observing it.
