When you are sooooo tired you just don't care about things anymore? When you have things that need done around the house but you give up at the first problem cause of impatience? When your attitude is so bad you don't even want to look at people? When you feel like why even try to find a relationship, I'll just be hurt again? When you feel like a victim of fate because of how many times your hopes have been cut up by twists of chance? When you get so angry at yourself for making stupid decisions or doing stupid things, where that one thing screws up something good you've been working on for months or years?

horsecab,
Wish I had the right answer. All I can say is I can relate. Hope you feel a bit better soon. Hang in there and take deep breaths. We are here and listening. ![]() ![]()

I wish I had a reply, too. I get caught up in the same cycles, and I usually "cope" by going to bed, which of course just makes things worse (and perpetuates the vicious cycle).
I'm sending you a hug, though! ![]()

I can relate, horsecab.
![]() ![]() Are you working with a T? Are you on any meds? It's hard to start the fight from the point of zero. Hard to do it, when we don't have the motivation. That is when we know that we need help from professionals. It can be done, but it takes a little tickle inside. Not an enjoyable tickle ~ just a teensy bit of energy. Use that energy to get professional help. Call a suicide hotline or go to the ER & be honest. It isn't an overnight process, unfortunately, but it does give you a little more energy to keep living. In the meantime, as you work towards resolving issues, develop some healthy and happy tasks in your daily life.

I can relate too, Horsecab. Every little thing I should do always feels enormous, and those little daily things don't get done. I'm also afraid to try to find a relationship, imagining negative outcomes. I try sometimes at least, to talk back to the voice of negativity. Occasionally, I remember to visualize the outcome that I want. That can help make it a little easier to take a step.

Do something nice for youself, that you would like. Take a deep breath, go outside and catch some fresh air or sunshine, if there is some available, of course! Or eat a piece of cake. Watch a TV show you like. Read a page of poetry. Or crawl under a big comforter and take a long nap, preferably with a pet at your side.
Pick just one small thing to do. Any small thing. Don't worry about the rest. Let that be enough. Do the same thing tomorrow--do something nice for yourself and pick a small thing you want to accomplish. Don't try to overdo, just try to get some motion instead of all the inertia. Sometimes just breaking the ice and doing one thing will help you disrupt the log jam that is bogging you down. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

One day at a time! I agree with the last post. One small thing at a time. Getting out of bed is the worst part of the day for me, but I have to get up. I have a family to take care of and I have to make money to feed and shelter them. I wish I was able to "take some time off" and get away from it all. Do something you really enjoy doing. Might help get you out of the funk.
