Opinions/comments/experience with it? Has anyone done it, and does it work?

Light therapy did not help me, apparently because I did not stay close enough to the light source long enough each time to make a difference even though I thought I had been following the instructions. Subsequently, I tried again with no noticeable change.

That said, I am aware others have been helped.

Hey there. I have not tried full blown light therapy, but from what I heard it's just something that works for some people and not for others - there's no way to tell without just trying it.

For me, I get full spectrum light bulbs and that helps me a bit.

I'm not a therapist but here's what I understand about light therapy:
There's a type of lamp you can buy that gives off light that's supposed to simulate sunlight. Specific therapy lamps are designed so that you sit there for 15 min- 1 hr (I've heard different times depending on the lamp and site that describes therapy) in front of it.

Its supposed to work because the light will hit your eyes + face (skin can absorb things through sunlight for instance) and provide benefits to you.

Light therapy is supposed to work especially well in the winter, when there is less natural sunlight.

Here are some links to information PsychCentral provides about it:
http://psychcentral.com/library/seasonal_affective.htm
http://psychcentral.com/library/seas..._treatment.htm

The way I have chosen thus far is to buy full spectrum lighting - not as good as a light box but also helps.
