Hey all, I was recently hospitalized for severe depressive episode and am having a hard time coping even 2 weeks out though my mood has been stabilized. Has anyone ever been to support group? If so which ones?

Although I am Bipolar 1, I go to a Depression Group every 2 weeks. I originally went when I was diagnoised with Depression. We have support from 2 co-ordinators who have both got Depression themselves and can give insight into what things we need if we are struggling ie medical help. They are open and you can contact them at any time and they will contact you.
Everyone is a Depressive bar myself and another Girl who are BP and 1 woman is Borderline |

I've been to a few meetings of the Depression and Bipolar Support Association -- http://www.dbsalliance.org/site/Page...?pagename=home.
Seems like a pretty good group. Hopefully, they have a chapter in your area. There's also Depressed Anonymous, although they're of the opinion that depression is an addiction. I'm not sure where I come down on that yet. Best of luck finding a group. ![]() |

Personally...I cant believe anyone would believe depression is an addiction. I do everything I can to not let it happen...meds, eating right, exercise, etc, and it will still happen. There is a chapter in my area I will look into it more. Thanks for the help.
