((((hugs)))) bear. Yes, sometimes we have to have red flags to protect ourselves. This can be a healthy thing. The more we can avoid the negative things, and lean towards the postive ones, the healthier we become! I think you are taking good steps fuzzy... take it slowly and don't overwhelm though...

would green carpet be a nice reminder of spring outside the cave????

I know what you mean about getting better at the not trusting, too.
It's good to recognize the red flags but sometimes we can start to become too untrusting.
I hope you can maintain a balance.
I'm not sure if this is what you meant but it's something I struggle with. I thought I recognized it in your second line.

Yes this whole thing with people as opposed to bears is tough for me ggrrrrr
Trying to grow a thicker skin as my bear coat doesn't help me not to hurt so much Red Flags
