I recently ended my 8 year active duty military career and joined the reserves. Which I hate with a passion. Nothing aggravates me more than people getting paid to do nothing. I have no job and nothing to do other than clean the house. I stay in the house because I can control that. Oh yeah I have weaned myself off Effexor because my husband and I would like to have a child and I do not want to contribute to any abnormalities by being on meds. This is not to say they are bad, but my problems should not be my child's. I wanted to cope before I actually got pregnant. I am really just looking for someone to talk back and fortn with about my daily struggles.

Hi prettysoldier; you've found a great place here at PC to discuss daily struggles. There are lots of kind, supportive folks here.

I understand you not wanting to be on meds while pregnant/trying to get pregnant. I weaned myself off Prozac several years back for the same reason.

I'm sorry you don't like your current situation in the reserves.

Sending good thoughts your way.

First, THANK YOU for your service to our country!! It is very much appreciated!!!

I know the feeling of having to stay home & clean all the time. I'm disabled and have been for some time - I'd much rather be working. I used to be an optician, and I miss doing that ~ but i'd have to be on my feet all day and i can't do that anymore. I know not having a job can really take a toll on you. I hope you can find one soon. That's a big problem with returning service people -- there aren't any jobs!

I also know what you mean by daily struggles. Are you good in a crisis? I am - I can handle a crisis great. But it's the day-to-day stuff that I can't handle ~ i get all screwed up. I find it hard to make decisions; I can't make my mind up on even the simplest things; I put off things I should be doing in favor of sitting on the computer; I'm bored with things I used to like to do. I'm a widow, so I live alone and don't have to answer to anyone ~ that's probably part of my problem. I need structure. LOL

Anyway ~ I'm here if you care to talk. Take care and God bless. Hugs, Lee

I wrote my auto bio and now a person who disliked me is trying to destroy my credibility and my advocacy and all my work so I am upset by it. I am taking a breather from the attack and from my cause for a few.

prettysoldier,

some meds are okay to take while pregnant, you may want to talk to your doctor. There are classes of drugs A-D I think and A is the safest. Check it out and let me know what you find.

Love and hugs,
Tara
