It has been 16 months since I went to the Amen Clinic in Newport Beach, California. I was suffering from treatment resistant depression and I had been on 15 different drug combinations.

I am feeling better! There have been other things involved in my healing besides medication, but I am taking: Neurontin - 300 mg - 4 times a day, Luvox - 50 mg in the morning - 75 mg in the afternoon, and Effexor XR - 131.25 mg in the morning. Yes, this means I need to half a 37.5 mg capsule, but this is the dosage I feel best on.

Writing a blog about my healing process has been therapeutic for me. If you are interested in knowing more about the Amen Clinic, or the other things I have done to get well, you are welcome to read my blog. Go to http://escapefromdepression.blogspot.com. There is too much information to include here. My brain scans taken at the Amen Clinic are posted in Chapters 11 & 13 of the blog.

I appreciate the support and encouragement I have received from people on PsychCentral. Thank you!

Sincerely,

Caramel

I appreciate the effort you've made to document your experience, Caramel! Documentation allows untold others to compare, contrast and learn.
