Hi...haven't been around for months, thot I'd check in. Depression drags on and on- almost a year now, on then off Celexa and Lithium. Just saw a new pdoc a few days ago and diagnosis seems to be bipolar depression, so he recommended Lamictal. I think I'll try it, I do realize I need help. I'm getting so tired of this.

Yes, it has been several weeks since we've seen you around! (Tough times for me too.. though) It's a good thing to keep hanging in there... come back when you can... maybe soon, if the med helps?? TC

Lamictal is the drug of choice these days for bipolar depression. I know several people who have been helped tremendously.

i'm glad you're back..it's not good to try and get through this alone. If you're bipolar, then you will be dealing with this for a long time, so a pdoc, tdoc and a support group will be most beneficial.

I hope I'll be seeing you around!

I hope the Lamictal really helps you out. I know how it is when your meds don't seem to help much. It's terrible if you're having a rough time and nothing seems to be helping, too.

Hang in there.

Hi, Jeanie...nice to meet you! new diagnosis, old depression

The identical thing happened to me - I've been seeing my pdoc for around 12 years or so - diagnosed Major Depression Recurrent. Have been taking Zoloft & Depakote.

I'm currently on short-term disability from work due to an episode I just can't seem to get out of, so pdoc said when he put me on Depakote he knew I was Bipolar (just didn't tell me) and since nothing else has helped lately, I've been put on Lamictal as well.

Praying this will get both of us feeling MUCH better!!!
