The battle inside
One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, "My son, the battle is between 2 wolves. "One is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego. The other is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith." The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf wins?" The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed." Unknown Author |

Thanks for sharing this. Which one do you feed? I'm definite that I feed the first one.

I think I feed them both, sometimes I feed one a little more, and sometimes I feed the other more. I couldn't just let one wolf starve, could I? jk. I wish I could move past ambivalence.

They presented him the words: "And this, too, shall pass away." How much it expresses! How chastening in the hour of pride! How consoling in the depths of affliction! ---"Address before the Wisconsin State Agricultural Society". Abraham Lincoln Online. Milwaukee, Wisconsin. September 30, 1859. |

thanks time0
this is the version I have seen b/f... A Native American elder once described his own inner struggles in this manner: "Inside of me there are two dogs. One of the dogs is mean and evil. The other dog is good. The mean dog fights the good dog all the time." When asked which dog wins, he reflected for a moment and replied, "The one I feed the most." -unknown

I feed them both too. I can go for a while just feeding the good ones except at work. The negative one gets fed mostly at work.
