i've basically had depression all my life. i do take meds for it now as doing it alone has not yielded successful results. however learning new skills for coping applies to all of us. it provides us means of understanding and often times helping us to minimize the symptoms. medication (without coping skills) is only half the battle, imo. here are some helpful ways we can deal with our depression.

My husband keeps pushing me to get off my butt and do something.... I know he is right, but when you are at the lowest of the low its hard to start something. How do you take that first step?
