1. My spine is really messed up for my age-26.
2. My high pain tolerance is a bad thing.
3. The hanging attempt I recently learned I made in 2005 was a real attempt, enough so to damage my neck - it's weird to be told I injured my neck 5-6 years ago and suddenly realize what's missing from my ECT amnesia. Wow I was sick!

I feel strange about that last one. Uneasy, like vomiting or crying or the kind of blankness of staring at a campfire. I wonder what else is vanished from my memory. I wonder what's the use of such experiences... and I cant sleep now.

First, may I say that if your spine is "messed up" you SHOULD NOT be going to a Chiropractor! You need to see your regular doctor and ask for an MRI with and without contrast material to find out what EXACTLY is wrong with your spine!! Any manipulation by a Chiropractor can cause more damage -- in fact, I was told by 2 different Neurosurgeons that people with spine trouble should NEVER go to a Chiropractor -- that by doing so, we're putting ourselves at risk for paralyzation & a wheelchair. So see your doctor!

Secondly, it IS scary what we may have wiped from our memory! Your finding out about your attempt is no doubt very upsetting! But try not to let is bother you so much -- you were very ill at the time, and you're much better now. Put those thoughts away, and leave them buried --- don't dwell on it.

I hope you're seeing a therapist. If not, it would be a good idea. Therapy has been very beneficial to me. I wish you the very best. Take care of yourself, and please keep us posted as to how you are. God bless. Hugs, Lee
Thanks for this!

It's not some kind of disorder or break or anything. It's just that my spine is out of alignment and trying to right itself - my neck is only a stage before fusing itself, the bone damage can't be undone but further problems can be prevented. My back is a stage below that. These are pretty rare for my age, stuff you'd see 20-40 years older. But chiropractic is safe, Mayo and NIH say it's good. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/chi...7/METHOD=print

I did get to sleep. It's just so strange to actually have amnesia - it's such a movie-plot type of thing...

No therapy right now. I don't consistently have stuff to talk about...
