Since I had posted here about my recent depression struggles, I thought I'd also post an update about how things are getting better. My mood crashed in August/early September, and I've spent the last two weeks in a partial hospitalization program. It really helped! The combination of a new med (adding lithium to augment my other meds) and 6 hours a day of group therapy has really seemed to work wonders. I'm feeling pretty good, I have energy, I've been going back to the gym several times a week. I'm eating healthy. The thoughts of death have gone away, and I'm able to stop myself before I get lost in my negative thought spirals. I still have LOTS of things to catch up on... the tasks of daily life really got away from me in the last month. But, I have some confidence that I'll actually be able to do what I need to do.

Anyway, I just thought I'd share that for right now, things are going a little better for me.
peace,
garden gal
