I stopped last week coz I cannot afford to be on all the meds anymore (Wellbutrin, Lamator, Zanex and Stillnox). I am in an already sometimes good sometimes abusive marriage. My husband has a bad temper and complains all the time about his job...from the morning he starts till he comes home. So far i am the bread winner in our household. Last Friday he just stopped going to work and turned his phone off. All he does is watch body building competitions on Youtube while i am stressing about the bills. His expensive car, excessively high cell phone is in my name. I am beside myself about paying for all these things. My mood swings are horrible. I was so happy this morning and then asked him why he isn't looking for another job. It ended up in a screaming match and he stormed off. I am so depressed going out of my mind. Cannot talk to anyone coz people have their own lives.

If you still had some meds, you should try tapering off rather than stopping cold turkey as the expression goes. Or try to get half month refills or something. Some you're on are not good to just stop.
If you're responsible for the car, then sell the thing if the bum won't get back to work! Tough love! Okay maybe not, just saying look at other options, and try to take care of yourself, and not let him bully you too much. I would take your friends' reluctance to listen as a sign you have been down this path too many times. You describe your marriage as sometimes good sometimes abusive? Really I don't think the two go together, it's one or the other. If it's abusive, it's not good. If it's good, it's not abusive and you you don't have to give up your meds. |
