For My puppy

I get a big ole smile
When i think of you
The way you lay when u sleep
The way you run and play
The way you push the others away to be next to me
You protect me when a stranger passes my way
People may say im crazy for feeling this way
But your part of my family
And no one can ever take that away

skittles...what a fun, from your heart poem for your puppy. Not having brothers and sisters, my pets have always been a big part of my life! My 20-year cat, Morris, has lived the longest, thus far. During times when I was experiencing depressive episodes and was the only one in the house with me, he would walk delicately over to me and put a paw on my hand or even my face.

What a great idea - to write a letter to our pets mean to us. (Bet it would be good therapy too!)
