As a kid I was so emotionally abused I thought I really was all those rotten names I was called. It wasn't until I moved out of the situation that I discovered I could be happy again.
Is this the kind of thing you mean?

A negative person is taxing to any normal person, much more with folks with their own serious concerns. I had a friend once who just wore me out when we went out to eat with all her worries. I could feel down for days; I eventually shed my dependent friend, because I needed my emotional strength for my myself as those near and dear to me.
I think they can suck you into their worries and trying to solve their problems, when many times you need that concentration somewhere else. Any solutions i might offer this person went unaccepted and that is really infuriating. Especially if the answer was as clear as the nose on her face. I think she was just high into attention getting. Don't know if that is what you have in mind or not. hugs, bj |

Can't say I have... but that is probably because I am that person you are describing. I have always been down, I'm convinced that I was born depressed. I have never met anyone more depressed than me. I don't want to bring other people down so I keep it to myself and pretend that I'm alive and am a person. But to me, I'm as good as dead, I am powerless, defeated. Nothing will ever make me happy, I have never felt this thing known as happiness by other people. I hate everything, and I cannot change anything. Don't listen to me.
