Today has been so rubbish, I kind of feel to much but at the same time empty if that makes sense?

I think maybe I've gone it to panic mode. My nan died of huntingtons disease. It runs in families. If my nan was a Carrier then my dad has a 50/50 chance of getting and the same goes for me and my kids.

My uncle died last year some time, I had never met him, he had serious mental health issues and when my dad was contacted they said he had choked to death in the hospital ( endings of huntingtons) but he was not confirmed with the disease.

My cousin mental health issues. Missing and addicted to drugs, could this coils also be signs of the disease.

Now it has crossed my mind but refused to think about. But my mum mentioned it today!! Now I really scared depression can be the 1st signs of the inhuman disease. And they say that if you get tested it can bring on symptoms quick.

I'm so so scared I want to get the thoughts of this out my head. I can't cope.
I wish I was never told about my nans illness. There is no where I can hide from it if I had it.
Hugs from:

This is a scary situation but if you do have it. The sooner they catch it the easier its going to be on you if you do have it. They can slow down the process at least. My uncle has a rare case of huntingtons and he will adventually die from it but he has had sense he has been born. They have been slowing down the process as much as possible. He is now 47 years old and still kicking. Its not a fun diesase but at least you can live a long life. If you get tested and you don't have it, then you just got some releaf in life knowing you don't have it. My uncle doesn't have kids. My mom doesn't have huntingtons and either does me or my sister. We are all grown adults. Get yourself checked out because you may not even have it. Also depression is caused by all kind of things like it could be genetic or it could be events in your life that caused you to get depressed. Yeah some dieases can cause you to have depression too but it can be as simple as the fact you where born with a chemical imbalnce. I wish you the best of luck!!!

As terrifying as it is, I agree with Xeneon: Discover and know your enemy.
