Hi, I'm new to this site and just started taking 10mg of Prozac for depression. I've been taking it at night about two hours before bed because it makes me drowsy during the day. Been on this dose for about 5 weeks now and I've noticed a few things: I do still have anxiety but I generally feel pretty happy. Also, this is weird and I haven't seen this before: I now have very intense, multiple orgasms when my husband and I have sex. Does anyone else know about this or heard anyone mention?

There is some appetite loss during the day, but generally by about 5pm I want to eat and it's okay again.

Will the anxiety go away?
Should I increase the dosage?

Thanks for your help!

Hey there!
I took Prozac a long time ago, and was on a very high dosage. I wound up going back to the doctor to adjust, because I was taking Zoloft AND Prozac at the same time! And I did have anxiety as well, and was prescribed Xanax for that.

Loss of appetite is pretty normal, and I wound up loosing weight. It was great. I felt pretty good, but for a while didn't still want to leave the house. And my sexual prowess was MUCH better when I was on these medications. I felt happier and more open to sex, and at the time it made my now ex-husband very happy.

However - I wouldn't increase anything without talking to your doctor first. Explain that while you do feel better, you're still anxious. Perhaps he/she can prescribe something for that as well. They might even change the medication or add something to help. But in the meantime, take what is recommended until you get in touch with your doctor.

Glad you're feeling better!
Thanks for this!
