Welcome bklyner. Are you seeing a mental health professional? You don't need to suffer through this alone. I hope you find this site supportive.

Were you crying when you typed this? I thought I sensed tears.

Are you getting any sort of medical assitance for your depression? Therapy? Medication? Anything?

You dont deserve to feel like this.

Hello, and welcome to PC.
I'm so sorry you are feeling this way. As the others above mentioned, are you seeing someone (psychiatrist, therapist, etc) for your mental health concerns? Are you taking any medications? You don't deserve to feel like this. You deserve to feel great, and live a wonderful life. I hope you find support and friendship on this site, and I hope you are feeling better soon.

Depression is only one thing I suffer from but I know it stems from all the rest. The more I isolate the better I feel but the more I want to isolate. I am lonely yet I want to be left alone, people and relationships scare me. I'd rather be dead then alive yet I'm not suicidal at this time. Does any of this make sence to anyone else?

I too suffer from depressive isolation and can totally relate! I isolate because I don't think anyone can understand the pain and agony of my depression so I think they'll judge me or think that I'm weak and why don't I just "snap out of it, what do I have to be depressed about". I sometimes also feel like I'd rather be dead because i feel so worthless and alone but never actually think suicidal thoughts. The feeling of being alone is so debilitating and sad. You make sense to me snicoll. Please get professional help if you don't have it already. I am currently seeing a psychiatrist and a psychologist and am hoping for positive results. Hang in there!

no one does understand, they all think it will pass. i havent had any success with therapists, no one has helped and they all want you to pretend to get better and so i do.
