I've been posting on another message board for a while. My posts are often ignored. If I'm lucky, one or two people will reply. While I'm grateful that anyone cares at all I do sometimes feel hurt by this. The people there seem kind so maybe it's something I'm doing wrong. It's probably because of my rejection sensitivity from childhood wounding. While my rational mind knows this my emotional mind is crying.
Sorry for the rant. mountainstream |

I doubt that it's anything that you are "doing wrong," mountainstream. Most of the people on any support site are hurting so much themselves that they may not be able to provide support to very many others or very quickly. As the statistics columns reveal, there are always many, many more people reading than responding to posts.
Best way to deal with this is to build your "backup" support group - site members that you have connected with and can contact directly through Private Messaging - your "I-Need-Support-Now" people - who can respond more quickly rather than waiting for others to make their way through all the new posts. Also, becoming a member of one or more of the smaller groups focused on your particular issues and/or interests can help you get the support you need faster. Don't give up - wave a red flag, PM people, do whatever it takes to get the support you need. It's about quality of life - you're worth the effort. ![]()

No need to be sorry. In fact, your post strikes me as exceptionally concise; hardly a "rant" at all. When you have the strength, please post more.
