so i got sucked in by my kids and my cousin to go to the beach.
About a month ago i got into some poison ivy. Got it pretty bad, all over my legs, arms, some on my face and belly. I thought i knew what i was looking for before i started but that's what i get for thinking, lol.
So anyways its gone but i still have some spots that I've scratched that are still trying to heal. So I've been wearing pants since then. Now my top half has a pretty nice tan but my legs look like a snowman. And with the spots that are trying to heal im feeling very self conscious. There's no way im going out in a bathing suit. So i was thinking about wearing the top with a pair of capris. Im not my of a swimmer anyways. I like to be able to see in the water that im swimming in, i have this thing about something grabbing me.
But then my over thinking mind thinks that if i wear that then its going to draw more attention to me. I just have this bad feeling that im going to be judged and embarrassed.

Any advice on how to get through This? I still have to go regardless, unless a tornado comes through. Which i don't really see happening.

Go ahead and wear the top with the capris -- sounds good to me. Or you could wear a halter top if you have one.

I don't think you'd look conspicuous. I think you'll look just fine! Go for it. Hugs, Lee
Thanks for this!

Sweathers81, how was the beach outing? Did you make it through OK? (Based on my personal experience, being "OK" after that kind of experience is not something that can be taken for granted.)

Yeah it wasn't to bad, i had my cousin with me and she made me feel better. I did after a couple hours take off my capris,it was Hot! I did end up with sunburn, but that was the only thing that was bad. I tend to over think alot of everything, and get myself worked up about things that really don't need to be, I've always been like that. I guess its something i need to work on.
Thanks for asking

I tend to over think things a lot, too. Glad everything went well for you though
Thanks for this!
