So it seems whenever i should be in the highest of spirits i sink lower than ever.

I just went on the best trip of my life. I started at an amazing college and met a bunch of people just like me, but I feel worse than ever. I've already reverted back to burning myself some....

any advice

Depression doesn't come when it makes sense. It will hit you at the weirdest times. You think you should be feeling wonderful because you're on a fantastic trip, but you're feeling just horrible. It never makes any sense.

If you can please see a therapist or counselor. It's imporant that you do. Treatment is imperative when we're in a severe 'low' with depression. If you can't afford therapy, please see your medical doctor who CAN help you. He can put you on a temporary dose of antidepressant until you can get into therapy. It will get you over the hump at least.

I wish you the very best. I KNOW how awful depression is, as I've suffered from severe depression since I was a child and I'm now 63 yrs old so I've had it for a very long time. Best of luck and God bless! Hugs, Lee
Thanks for this!
