When my sister started running away my grades and my motivation to go to school slowly decreased. Then, my sister died and I stopped going to all together; because of that Im one year behind. It's very hard for me since I'm a bit of a perfectionist but I recently started homeschooling and there are times when I have an agruement with my mother and i become so depressed that I cant even get up for homeschool. Thank goodness I have an understanding teacher because if it was anyone else I would have been kicked out of the program. I'm seeing a therapist weekly and I'm on anti-depression and anti-aniexty. Wanted to know if someone could relate to me and/or could help me out.

I do hope that the therapist is talking with you about grief. It's so hard to lose someone close to you. Is your mother in therapy too? Maybe family therapy would help. Grief has no time-table...I still think about my father, and he has been gone for 16 years. I could not imagine how hard it must be to lose a sibling. God bless you and I hope that you find the help that you are looking for here.

Hey there, I'm very sorry for your loss. Seems like you were close to your sister. I can relate to you in regards to school and depression. When I was in college I failed 3 courses bc my depression was distracting me...unfortunately I only seeked help towards the end of my studies. It's a good thing is that you have a supportive teacher and a therapist. Good luck with your homeschooling too.
