It is funny how I can sit here and give support to others but I can't pull my ownself out of this hole. now that I am back on the meds I have to wait to see if they will work and I have read that some times going back on with the same meds is not effective. Wish I had some of the love, comfort and pride others have. Wish I could feel proud about being a parent (heck I have a child in med school). Wish I felt that I had a place in this world. I just wish things were not so hard and that I could stop pretending to be happy just to please everyone else. Right now all I see is more darkness coming my way and no exits.

Hello alone.....You are definitely not the only one. I think so many of us are able to reach out and offer support to others, and yet feel unable to help ourselves. Hmm, interesting. I believe it's because depression turns bad feelings inward, leaving us without perspective in the way we see ourselves. But whatever the reasons, I'm so sorry that you're hurting, and wish could say something that would help. Sending warm wishes that some bit of comfort may come to you soon. I know that word "hope" is elusive, but it's out there somewhere.
