Hi everyone I have been on this major rollercoaster from being back to my old self old most to being suicidal all within the same day and anything can set it off even a old tv show to a phone call I just never know I went and seen my egular doctor on Friday and she prescribed prosac to go with my welbutrin I dont know anything about it but I am willing to try anything at this point.
I was wondering if anyone on here has had these 2 meds together and how they worked? Thanks for reading and I hope you are all having decent weekends George

Hi George.....I actually have not taken these two meds together (actually I've never taken Welbutrin at all).....but just wanted to wish you luck with this new combination Hope it helps

Two antidepressants is not uncommon. Prozac is an SSRI, and it has a good track record. Wellbutrin works on two other neurotransmitters, norepinehprine and dopamine. I do hope that this combination works well for you. I was on wellbutrin alone, and it worked fairly well, and fairly quickly. Though I've never been on Prozac, folks have told me that it works. In my exprience as a clinician, several of my psychiatrist friends have told me that adding an additional antidepressant can "jump start" the process to beating this illness. Best to you George.
