If you're more comfortable typing it out to the anonymous masses like I am now, go for it. People here are full of encouragement. Try to let your feelings out of your head and into the concrete world. I find it's easier to cope with mine when I can actually form them into sentences. ![]() |

What to do is definitely see a therapist! They can help you get to the bottom of your sadness and depression before the valve blows! You won't regret it, I promise you. I've been in and out of therapy most of my adult life, and it has done me a world of good. I've since 'graduated' but if i hadn't gone thru therapy I'm sure I would be dead by now.
If you cannot afford therapy, at LEAST talk to your medical doctor -- he can help you by putting you on an antidepressant. These meds are extremely helpful in elevating the mood so we feel "normal" whatever that is. I wish you the very best in whatever you choose to do -- I hope you choose therapy. God bless and please take care. Hugs, Lee ![]()

You need to talk to someone about all those bottled up feelings. A therapist is probably the first and best choice. As leed said. your doctor can help some with an antidepressant. If you feel like you need to be anonymous then post here as you just did, or feel free to pm me. I will try to help if I can. Please keep posting and let us know how you are. You are important to us!

I think your screen name says a lot. To feel "alone in the world" is hard. It might even be just about the worst thing. I sure feel that way, and get real sad about it sometimes. Other times, solitude can feel nice. I get that way too. A therapist might help you. Also, we need to have connectedness to others. That can be tough to arrange, as I am struggling with. PC is a place to start.

I feel the same way you do, but I always find it helps by chatting with people on depression sites, they can relate to how I feel and vent out and lifted the burden on my shoulders for a while. It would help more with someone constantly chatting with you though, you can pm me if you want. As others said, therapist is the best option, unlock the knot in your heart and let you be free. You are not alone here on this site

I hope you begin to feel better soon. As all have said, seeking help is the best thing at this time with a therapist and perhaps be out on medications to help you cope with the depression.

I can only commisserate with you. I am basically alone in a foreign contry, because my husband leaves at dawn and comes back so late he just falls into bed and is asleep before his head hits the pillow. Its been like this for two years. Well almost like this. And before that my Stress level was so high I began having convulsion. Im 52 female, American. I followed my husband here to help him get a return visa to the US. And I would never leave him. But I have a social phobia to go out side, because of the real possibility of being kiddknapped by either Ecuadorians or Columbians as we are near that border. Three time I have cut me forarms. But I don t think I will do that again. It didn t help my situation. I already had a stroke seven years ago due to my nerves. And a month later, I had a Diabetic Stroke. But who cares. Can t get psychiatric care here or the correct food I need for diabeties. Have high cholestorol, so I expect I ll die of a diet of meat and rice! Don t expect I ll get back in time to the STATES to see my 82 year old mother. Sorry to waste your time and space. ![]() |
