Try any of the OTC sleep aids, like Unisom or Tylenol PM and those should help you, Unisom helped me the most. But any of the sleep aids you find at your local Pharmacy should help you. You don't need a prescription.

Hope you get a good night's sleep tonight. Sweet Dreams! Hugs, Lee

Hello, Surry19!

When doctors were helping me with “sleep hygiene,” a couple methods proved slightly better than others – in my case, anyway:
  • Paradoxical Intention: When you can't sleep, try to stay awake.
  • Mild Distraction: Get your mind off the whole subject of sleep/wakefulness. Find something (background music or noise, background chatter - nothing too interesting or exciting, reading, meditating, journaling, etc.) that gets you thinking about anything else other than your being awake or wanting to fall asleep. The idea is to get your mind off the process of falling asleep.
May you have pleasant dreams!

I usually put in a music disc, then I put in ear phones and go to bed. Turn off the lights and close my eyes and lay there and listen to the soft music. Sometimes I put in an audio book and try to listen but usually that puts me to sleep. There are relaxation tapes that work pretty good if the room is cool and dark. Try some of those.
Thanks for this!

Relaxing music (without vocals) help me. I also take a prescription medicine to help me get through the night without my PTSD nightmares ans still sleep throughout the night.

Best wishes to you ~ sleep well!
