My depression is still making me feel tired and unmotivated. I am taking 40 m of fluoxetine a day, and I feel that it is helping somewhat. But I still get tired easy and it is still taking me a long time to get things finished-or even started for that matter. I've had blood drawn and everything looks good, my numbers are great, and I'm not anemic or lacking in anything. My doc thinx its just the depression--but why is the procastination and tiredness not changing?

I'm sorry Hun. I'm on the same dosage. I think sometimes you just have to go with it and if you want to just relax and do nothing, then just do that. I find sometimes that my expectations are higher than what I'm actually capable of doing when my depression is flaring up.

Have you talked with your doc about your expectations of how you will feel when your medicine is working? We know why your baseline (worst) is...but what are you reaching toward? Better than this, I take it? How much longer are you planning on waiting and what are your other options for treatment if this isn't where you want to be?
Thanks for this!

the only thought I can offer is that in addition to depression, I also suffer from anxiety, and all that worrying will wear you out fast. of course the depressive thoughts weigh you down too. I wish you luck, I hope it will get better for you.
