I have been dealing with various issues for years now, since I was 6, and I think I am just now starting to come to terms with some of them. I finally moved out on my own a few years ago, which was a huge step for me, however, I am still stuck in this same town and same situation(isolated, introverted, etc...) What I have noticed lately, aside from my being extremely confused, is that I am not as happy as I feel I might be, somewhere else, I am just not sure how to take that first step. Has anyone had any experience with feeling stuck like this before?

Me me me! Grew up in a mini town, then moved to the big city, then another city.... and cities just didn't suit me but neither did the hometown. Your environment can have a lot to do with how you feel. There's something to be said for surrounding yourself with like-minded people and activities, but you can make friends and find yourself anywhere if you don't hold back.

Just don't look back, keep going on and feeling your way through this life you've got. Find out how to make it work for you, carve out your existence and don't be afraid. There's really nothing to be afraid of and no one is going to let you starve. So never be afraid of losing all your money. But don't go blow it all on shoes, ya know?

"Everything" is right. You CAN'T be afraid to take that first step. No one is going to do it for you. You have to just make the decision to leave -- and then DO it. Yes, it's a big decision, but you HAVE to do it, if you want to have some kind of life.

Try the bigger city and see how it suits you. Don't try it for a day or two. Stay there for awhile until you're sure about it. Get the "feel" of the bigger city and see if it appeals to you. If not, try the "sext size down." lol Perhaps a middle size city will do it for you. They aren't so bad, and still have alot of the benefits of the big city. If you don't like that, then you're back to the little town -- like your home tow, only different. You can always find another small town. But just MOVE. It's time to get away, and spread your wings. You won't regret it.
