I too have MDD, and i'd suggest getting into therapy. When I entered therapy, after a few sessions, my therapist sent me to my doctor to put me on an antidepressant cause I was SOOOO depressed! lol So my doc put me on Prozac, and I went back to the therapist and we continued therapy.
But with MDD, I do believe that both are quite necessary. It helps to get to the root of the depression and get rid of all the issues you may have. I know it did me a world of good. That's not to say that it's going to cure your depression because it probably won't. But it will make it easier to bear. Getting rid of old issues REALLY eased things for me -- I was no longer carrying around things that made me feel guilty or afraid. Now all I have is the depression which is clinical in nature. The "stuff" in my brain isn't adequate so i need to add to it by taking an antidepressant. That makes me feel better, and it will you too. Best of luck and keep us posted! God bless. Hugs, Lee ![]()
