I enjoy chat, but I don't think it is healthy for me to be there, for personal reasons. Is there anywhere else I can chat? Im sorry to ask, I hope i don't get in trouble for this. I still want to keep posting if possible and chat when I can, but I don't feel safe sometimes. If you know a place, I need to chat about my problems. Thank you for helping.

You can always just find the forum that you feel is best suited to what you want to talk about and leave a post. People can comment on it and you comment back. I don't do chat myself, I prefer to leave posts or comment on others posts.

I have felt this way too...I've not gone in chat either.

Ppl will probably come along with better suggestions, but either Private Messages or using an email acct someone also has would be good alternatives. (Feel free to PM me if you want)

Hello everyone,

I am new here and I am confused because I went online looking for help for people in EXTREME DEPRESSION crisis and feeling near-suicidal and this was one of the places I was led to but here it says "NO ****idal postings" so where do I go and who do I turn to?

HELP, please!

Thank you...

I don't do chat myself either. I prefer posting like this, and this IS safe. So why not post here, and let others leave comments -- it's safe this way. Or like was mentioned, you can private message someone you trust.

I hope you stay here at PC, and continue posting. I dont' know of anyplace any safer than PC. Best of luck and God bless. Hugs, Lee

Have you been in more than one chat room here at PC? Some may be more structured than others. If you like the chat format but were uncomfortable in the chat you were participated in, maybe you'd want to scout out one moderated by someone else.

Or, as those above suggested, stay with the more protective format here in the Forums or through Private Messaging.

I'm sorry you had a rough experience.

Thank you for your posts and so quickly. The only time I really need immediate help is when i have a nightmare (worse than I can say) and when I loose all control crying and hurting. I do go in at other times to try to help others and for a lighthearted convo, but my feelings have been hurt so much and it puts me back to that depressed state. It doesn't happen all the time, but I get turned upside down. However, I don't know when it is going to happen and it seems like a risk to me. Im so happy when I feel good, that for someone to ruin it, is just too much for me. Thanks again.

I believe there are forums where you can post about being suicidal--I know becuase I've seen the posts. I thought you could post about suicidal stuff here as well,

I would suggest LjadeC contacting an administrator by Private Message and asking for their feedback; I'm certain they could help you. Otherwise, try to find a forum where it doesn't say, "No suicidal posts please" at the top, and if you do find one, just the "trigger" smilie (the red one below with an X over it)...that let's others know the post could be potentially triggering for them.

Good luck, please stick around, you'll find others in the same boat as you,

***Update: Ahh, I looked and "Coping With Emotions" forum does not have seem to prohibit any type of posting.... I hope you find some relief there.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
