Holidays are coming... I wonder if this is good or bad. Not going to school gives my mind an opportunity to wander and have negative thoughts and be suicidal and depressed. How do I deal with this?

kitty, I am right there with you. I keep trying to catch my negative thoughts and reason with myself. it helps some. can you get outside and exericise? I seem to be able to think more clearly after I work out or walk or ride my exercise bike.
Thanks for this!

But sometimes when depression hits you hard, you don't feel like doing anything. All you want to do is to lie down and rot the rest of your days away...

I know. the hardest thing is to get moving. do you have sun where you are today? if you could sit in the sun for awhile, or even if it is not sunny, to be outside and watch the birds, and get some fresh air could help a little. I'm sorry you are having a difficult time, I feel that way too. it will get better

having a plant or animal to take care of, breathing exercises, meditation and instrumental jazz help me.
Thanks for this!

even breathing and focusing on breathing helps, like a mindfulness meditation or something. And sometimes it has to be done periodically. Or listening to certain music. Stretching. Communicating somehow someway w anyone you enjoy! The best!
