I have no where to go. Is it acceptable to ask someone if I can come over? Or, if they didn't invite be in the first place, they don't want me there?

Drop subtle hints? Just because they don't ask, doesn't mean they don't want you. They might be just as nervous about asking you as you are worrying about no one asking you.
