Hello, I'm new to PC. I have been lurking quite a bit, but not saying much for the past week. Just observing and taking in other people's thoughts and their stories. I hope to share my stories/advice and get feedback from you all as well. I have a history of depression and anxiety since early adolescence, and I am now 22 years old. I have a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder. I also have drug dependency issues with pain killers starting when I was 15 and had a bad habit of stealing. I tried to commit suicide about October 3rd of this year. I tried to OD on ambien, and since then I have had a terrible memory. My T says it will come back though. I hope it does. Because of my suicide attempt, I was hospitalized for one week. This was my first time ever being hospitalized, and a patient in hospitalization with me recommended I get on PC and check it out. I'm very happy I did, so far.

I'm open to friend requests/messages, but I can be very shy. Hopefully, it wasn't too forward of myself to post this, but I just wanted to say hi.

Hello and welcome !! It's great that you posted this so we can get to know you. You're definitely NOT being forward at all.

I hope you've visited the Panic & Anxiety forum here as well. The people there are great.

I suffer from depression as well, and have since I was a little girl, so that was MANY years ago --- I'm 63yrs old now. LOL I've been thru therapy, and am on medications now and have been for many years.
