I use to cry everyday, telling my mother "I have to find reasons to get out of bed"...Now, I have a purpose to stay alive.

I think it's much better, even though this year 2 people in my family have passed away. I even sought a therapist this year as well. Last year I was overwhelmed with taking care of my grandmother following her accident and recuperation in the nursing home. I was very depressed, but not willing to admit it. I think admitting it and seeing a therapist have done wonders for my state of mind. So I can't help but be grateful.

I said much worse--but only because I've gone through some major life changes. In general, I'm hopinh to emerge better than before.

A little worse.

Some major improvements, some major negative changes. Overall, a little worse.

However I think if my stress level was lower I'd be making improvements.

This year has been a very tough one. All in all though, I think I am starting to turn a corner. I'm looking forward to the new year.

I can only speak for myself.

had a depression before (and now strafing around another one) and can honestly say that i was a Moron. No plans for the future or any appriciation for a awesome moment that arises from time to time.

Today (after 3 years ok...) im doing better in this ways. I have a very clear cut plan for the future and for myself. I am working on starting a business and have a pretty good idea what i want for myself and with what kind of person i want to be with. That does not mean by anyway that i will succeed...actually now things look like they dont. But hell..im gonna try anyway ^^

PS also have to agree that 2012 wasnt the best year for most people i know.

A little better in some areas, a lot worse in other areas. Overall I'd say I'm better off now, even with the recent psychosis. Without the psychosis I may have never ever tried psych meds. Blessing in disguise I suppose.
