Well, what I mean is that I have four wonderful dogs, and the house and land needs to go to someone who can take wonderful care of the dogs.

I know it won't work though. The dogs would be a mess with someone else as their guardian. Have actually posted and tried to give the house away before, but no one even responds.

Worked too hard to get the house. Had to fight the County for 10.5 years, to be allowed to live on my own land. Would be wrong to sell it after all that, it could only be a gift to someone.

Have no family. My fiancee is bipolar and her hateful rages take a toll. Am unable to work, and unable to get disability, and unable to help my fiancee. I need out, and I need someone to take care of these wonderful dogs.

My tiny hope is that in a couple more years I can have disability and then be done with my fiancee, or at least have her move out. We may get along much better if separated.

Wish someone could take care of these wonderful dogs and this nice house!

Hello & Welcome, Reasonable2012!

You are weakened by long struggles and a difficult present. It is painful to consider you having to leave your dogs.

Have you told any local or national agency about your situation? A crisis line might be able to point you in a profitable direction as well.

Welcome to PsychCentral, Reasonable2012. I'm sorry you're dealing with a bipolar fiancée & feel that you are faced with such horrendous choices! I agree with Rohag ... giving your dogs and home away can't be the best solution, or even a practically good one.

If give away your home, where will you and fiancée live? How would you monitor/insure continued good care of dogs & property? Issues snowball.

Is your fiancée being treated? If so, is her therapist aware of your situation & plans? How about her family, and your family?

Please contact social services both public and private in your area. And stay in touch here. Lots on wisdom and experience on the boards. Take care.
